God’s Healing Presence in Times of Illness
The Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of God’s healing and comfort for those who are seriously ill, frail, or preparing for surgery.
It is not just for those at the point of death, but for anyone who is burdened by illness or the challenges of ageing.
Through the anointing with blessed oil and the prayers of the Church, we ask the Lord to bring physical, emotional and spiritual strength, peace and hope.

Who can receive it?
Any Catholic who:
- ✓ Is seriously ill
- ✓ Facing surgery
- ✓ Experiencing the frailty of old age
- ✓ In need of spiritual or emotional healing
