During the time of November [especially 1st – 8th], the Church around the world encourages us to visit the deceased & to pray for them. Three conditions are required for gaining a ‘plenary indulgence’: Holy Communion, recent sacramental Confession and a disposition of detachment from sin. Finally prayers for the Pope’s intentions such as an ‘Our Father’ & ‘Hail Mary’.
