Fr Stephen Gorddard
Fr Stephen interrupted a degree in Chemical Engineering and Management to discern his vocation. He lived informal community life with other Catholic men until joining St Charles Seminary in 2009, along with his older brother.
After being ordained in 2015, he worked as Assistant Priest at St Mary’s Cathedral, as a chaplain at Royal Perth Hospital, and most recently as Assistant Priest at Kalgoorlie Parish.
He came to Mundaring as Parish Priest in 2024.
Deacon Paul Reid
Deacon Paul and his wife, Charmianne, moved to Chidlow in 2004. He was ordained a Permanent Deacon in 2006 and appointed to Sacred Heart Parish, Mundaring.
In Parish ministry he works with Fr Stephen as Pastoral Care Coordinator, primarily for the sick and elderly at home or in residential care, the RCIA programme, and facilitating faith enrichment programmes.
Deacon Paul’s working life has been mostly in the petroleum and supporting industries, in both commercial and health and safety roles. Paul and Charmianne enjoy the rural life on their hobby farm and being grandparents.
