Sacramental Program for School-Aged Children
“The sacraments are the heart of life in the Church and take place within the context of a Christian Community. Through these gifts, God’s faithful ‘are given access to the stream of divine grace which flows from the paschal mystery of the passion, death and resurrection of Christ’ (SC 61).” Archbishop Costelloe, Sacramental Policy for School Aged Children 2014 – Archdiocese of Perth.
Under the leadership of Fr. John Daly, our parish provides the experience of belonging to a Catholic family, supporting parents as primary educators in the faith of their children. Together, we celebrate the initiation of new members into the Church and assist in nourishing and sustaining their journey into Christian maturity, encouraging all to continue as active members of the parish.
At Sacred Heart, the sacramental program for school-aged children is a: family focused, parish based, school and after-school program supported approach, in accordance with the Archdiocese of Perth. Children are prepared for and receive the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.
